Capra Creek Mini Farm was started in 2009. We are located on 11 acres outside Warrensburg, MO.
We raise Registed Pygmy Goats, Registered Nigerian Dwarfs, and unregistered pygmies. We
breed and raise New Zealand and California Rabbits for pets and meat production and AKC registered
There is nothing as precious as God's babies - human, dogs, kittens, goats, rabbits chickens..
we enjoy them all. The antics of our little goat herd keeps us enterained and laughing.
We do have unregistered pygmy does and we breed them to our registered pygmy buck. Our
goats are vaccinated, wormed, disbudded and are a clsoed healthy closed herd.
We are members of the National Pygmy Goat Association, American Dairy Goat Association
and the American Goat Association. We raise a few kids each year for those interested
in 4 H projects or those who just want to enjoy the fun of our small goats.
Both the Pygmy and Nigerians originally came from west Africa and were considered dwarf goats.
The were imported to America sometime in the 1950's- from these dwarf goats the pygmy and Nigerian
were developed. When they first came here they were popular in petting zoos across the country.
They are both considered very hardy breeds. The pygmy is shorter and stockier than the Nigerian.
The dwarf goats should mature at about 40 to 50 pounds. Pygmies due to their stockier build are
considered the meat dwarf goat and the Nigerian dwarfs are known as the milk dwarf.... Pygmy's
do not have blue eyes that is a Nigerian trait.
